The Ganaraska Region Conservation Authority’s Ganaraska Forest Centre is a multi-use facility, located in the heart of the 11,000-acre Ganaraska Forest. Featuring overnight accommodations for over 80 people, the facility boasts a large Great Hall, four break-out classrooms, a commercial kitchen and expert culinary staff to look after any group's dietary needs. The primary focus of the GFC is outdoor education, offering over 25 Ontario curriculum-linked outdoor educational opportunities for both youth and adults. The facility is also a prime venue for weddings, private and corporate events and community and non-profit groups.

The Ganaraska Forest Centre is set in 11,000 acres of mixed forest, within an hour's drive of Toronto, Peterborough and Cobourg and is the perfect venue for your special day! Wedding rentals include use of the full facility for the full weekend. This do-it-yourself, destination-style wedding venue includes an outdoor ceremony site in the majestic Ganaraska Forest, a beautiful reception hall, and overnight accommodations for you and your guests.

How did The Ganaraska Forest Centre get started?

The Ganaraska Region Conservation Authority started their outdoor education program in 1975, opening the original Ganaraska Forest Centre the same year. In 2009, after a successful fundraising campaign, the new Ganaraska Forest Centre opened its doors, offering a multi-use facility that has since become a unique wedding venue in Northumberland County.
